VOC-SEP™ (PERVAPORATION & VAPOUR PERMEATION) BENCH SCALE UNITS

Our small systems, suitable for in-house testing are available for purchase or rent. These units are designed to facilitate testing of pervaporation membranes for your unique separation applications in your laboratory. The flux and selectivity data obtained can be used for sizing large plants. Extended tests on the laboratory scale system can be conducted to evaluate membrane stability.

Major Components & Benefits

AZEO-SEP™ (Pervaporation & Vapour Permeation) bench-scale units are designed for simple operation and minimum maintenance. All of the components have been selected for their durability and longevity.

The major components of the system are:

  • Seal-less, magnetically coupled, centrifugal circulation pump eliminates the need to worry about the compatibility of the seals with the solvents being tested.
  • Five liter feed storage tank for holding the sample.
  • Circulation heater to accurately maintain the feed tank temperature.
  • Seal-less stainless steel tube flow meter to monitor the feed flow rate for better reproducibility.
  • Pressure gauges to monitor the feed and membrane cell pressure.
  • Digital thermometers to monitor the feed and retentate temperatures.
  • Cold trap for collecting permeate using dry ice or liquid nitrogen along with a Dewar vacuum flask.
  • Feed sample point with a cooling coil to quench the sample.
  • Test cell to hold a six-inch diameter (approximate) membrane coupon.
