Two Acid Gas Oxidizer (AGO) STACK units, fabricated and welded in our Kerteh shop

What an AGO STACK is, and why this scope mattered
An Acid Gas Oxidizer (AGO) stack is the destruction column for sour-gas streams in oil and gas processing. Two units, each forty metres long and 2.8 metres outer diameter, plus a 4.2-metre-diameter combustion chamber, plus the associated PIG launcher and receiver hardware: the fabrication scope demanded the full envelope of PSE Malaysia's heavy-iron capability. 300 MT/month fabrication capacity, 9-metre hook clearance, 20-ton overhead crane, post-weld heat treatment up to 40 metres long, ASME Section IX qualified welders, ASME U/U2/R stamps on the pressure-retaining components.

The Kerteh shop, by the numbers
The Kerteh facility was established in 2014 and fully operational by December 2019. The AGO STACK fabrication is among the first major scopes documented after the shop reached full operation. The shop sits on a six-acre site in the Kerteh industrial corridor, with three fabrication shops (two at 25 × 90 × 11.5 m, one at 28 × 90 × 11.5 m), three blasting and painting bays (12 × 6 m each), a 4 × 40 m post-weld heat treatment furnace, CNC plasma cutting, hydraulic press, radial drill, bed lathe, welding rotators and positioners. The AGO STACK work used most of it.

Outcomes
Two AGO STACK units, one combustion chamber, and the associated PIG launcher/receiver work, fabricated, code-stamped, and shipped from our Kerteh facility. This is the most extensively documented build in the Petro Sep portfolio and the canonical reference for the type of scope PSE Malaysia is built to deliver.
