R&D & Custom Solution Development

Our membrane and separation science grew out of decades of work with IMRI, the University of Ottawa, and the National Research Council, alongside people who learned the discipline next to the founders of modern reverse osmosis. We put that lineage to work on problems that do not have a catalog answer. Whatever your stage, an idea, a stubborn stream, a process that almost works, we design the next step.

What you get

The shape of the deliverable.

Outcomes our customers see when this scope is on our floor. Specific, repeatable, and held against the same quality system across the company.

Science heritage
IMRI, uOttawa, NRC
Membrane methods rooted in a research lineage that reaches back to the early reverse-osmosis generation.
Meet you at any stage
Concept, lab, pilot, or near-commercial. We pick up the work where it sits and design the next step.
Path to fabrication
Bench to plant
Development connects directly to our own engineering and fabrication, so a result does not stall on the bench.

Frequently asked

Common questions on this scope.

Do you take on problems with no existing solution?
Yes. The development group exists for separations that have no catalog answer. We scope feasibility first so you know what is knowable before committing to a full program.
Who owns the IP from a custom development program?
It depends on the agreement. We routinely structure programs where the client owns the application IP while we retain our background membrane and module IP. Terms are set before work starts.
